How eBikesHQ researches its guides

We make e-bike information easier to check: link the sources, date substantive reviews and separate manufacturer claims, third-party observations and planning assumptions. A researched specification is not a hands-on test by eBikesHQ.

Which sources do we use?

For product specifications, we prioritize exact manufacturer listings and current-linked owner manuals or technical sheets. We identify the market, frame, battery and trim when the evidence supports them. Independent reviews add useful context, but a different test bike or protocol does not establish the facts for every current configuration.

How do we handle disagreements?

We compare source dates, configuration and definitions before choosing a claim. When evidence does not resolve a fact, we show it as unavailable or keep the candidate private. A missing weight is not zero. A gross vehicle limit, rider limit, rear-rack rating and cargo allowance are different quantities.

What do our tools measure?

The calculators use stated formulas and user-entered assumptions. Results are planning estimates, not measurements, diagnosis, guaranteed savings or battery compatibility approvals. Where a manufacturer instruction controls the decision, use the exact bike or battery instructions.

How are visuals labelled?

Illustrations explain concepts; they do not document product testing. Precise values and formulas appear as accessible text, tables or diagrams with their evidence and assumptions.

How do we update content?

We record substantive changes, evidence dates and publication checks. An older article date is not replaced merely because the site design changed. Specification records are reviewed again when reliable new evidence becomes available.

Editorial and corrections policy

Affiliate relationships are disclosed. A link or compensation does not convert an unverified claim into a recommendation. We assess reported corrections against the cited evidence, update supported facts and explain material scope changes. We do not invent reviewer credentials, firsthand experience or tests.
