E-bike charging cost calculator
Estimate a partial charge and repeated charging costs using your own electricity rate and efficiency assumptions. Inputs stay in this page and are not saved or submitted.
Follow the energy
- Battery energy added: nominal Wh × charge percentage added ÷ 100 ÷ 1,000.
- Estimated wall energy: battery kWh ÷ assumed efficiency.
- Estimated variable cost: wall kWh × rate per kWh.
The example inputs are a scenario, not measured charger efficiency or a local tariff. Currency selection labels amounts; it does not convert rates. Nominal capacity and displayed charge percentages approximate energy. This does not estimate charging time, compatibility, battery health or safety.
Use your applicable variable rate, including relevant per-kWh charges and taxes. Fixed bill fees, standby consumption, tier changes and time-of-use changes are not included. If available, measured wall kWh is a better input for understanding actual consumption.
EIA explains power and energy units: 1,000 Wh equals 1 kWh. For wider costs, use the ownership-cost calculator. For charging/storage conditions, follow your exact manuals and the storage checklist.
