Why 62 lb and 71 lb both appear
62 lb
Bike with battery removed, as listed by Lectric.
+ 9 lb
Long-range battery, as listed by Lectric.
= 71 lb
Manufacturer total before added accessories.
The product page and Lectric weight support table agree on this scope. A historical review reports a different removed-battery figure; we retain the current explicit manufacturer claim without guessing the reason for that difference. Do not substitute the standard XP4 battery mass for the XP4 750 long-range pack.
Transport and carrying checks
For lifting or a car rack, weigh your actual transport setup with locks, baskets and accessories. Remove the battery only when the bike and rack instructions permit it. A 62 lb base-bike claim does not mean every installed setup weighs 62 lb. Check individual tray, combined rack and vehicle limits separately.
The product advertises multiple class settings and a 330 lb payload rating. We withhold a universal speed or cargo-only load scalar: confirm the delivered setting, current manual, passenger equipment and legal access. A rear-rack rating is a separate limit and is not added to the bike's total capacity.
Before choosing
- Try the step-over height, reach, folded handling and lifting task.
- Confirm exact battery, charger, delivered configuration and replacement support.
- Read the current manual and manufacturer safety notices; check local access rules.
- Use your route and load for range planning; the advertised ceiling is not a commute guarantee.
